Art & culture shape and influence widely held narratives, behavior, values, and assumptions. That makes them potent forces for change. But that change won’t happen on its own; cultural power must be intentionally linked to community power.
The Culture & Community Power Fund was founded in 2022 with just that mission: to position culture as a central & fundamental force for change in frontline communities. A funding lab that invests in a network of grassroots organizations & initiatives building community power with culture at the core, C&CPF’s approach is based on trust & collaboration. We offered unrestricted, multi-year funding to six core organizations across the U.S. and worked alongside them to co-design deeper investments into their communities, building and strengthening a resilient ecosystem.
